Qsymia is de merknaam voor een medicijn dat 2 werkzame stoffen combineert, namelijk fentermine en topiramaat.
Fentermine is een centraal stimulantium en topiramaat is een stemmingsstabilisator/anticonvulsiefmiddel...

Bij inname werkt topiramaat echter als reagens en zet fentermine om in nog sterker stimulerende metabolieten.
