Een natuurlijk coping mechanisme om te ontwikkelen zou wellicht (mindfulness) meditatie kunnen zijn. Het kan helpen om de rust te creeeren om in slaap te komen. Het is echter niet een pill-popping oplossing die vaak vrij direct te gebruiken is.

Participants who meditated, as compared to those who did not, performed better on stressful multitasking tests.
